Fruit should not be picked until full color (yellow-reddish) has been attained. The fruit bruises easily, so care should be taken when picking them.
Different varieties have different harvesting time, that is influenced by weather conditions, earlier in warm places, later in colder ones. Scissors must be used, cutting the stalk close to the calyx.
