The
Oriental or Japanese persimmon (Diospyrus kaki) is a
small, easy to grow, warm-climate tree, belonging to
Ebenaceae family.
There are about 200 species ranging from fruit, ornamental
and flowering plants with over 800 varieties.
Originally from China, it is most appreciated for
its great fruit quality. Also known as the fruit of
Gods.
